About Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a professional undergraduate degree program that integrates the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with modern medical knowledge. Recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, this program prepares students to become skilled Ayurvedic physicians and healthcare practitioners.
The course focuses on Ayurvedic principles, herbal medicine, Panchakarma therapy, preventive healthcare, and basic concepts of modern anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Through classroom learning, practical training, clinical exposure, and internships, students gain a holistic understanding of human health and wellness.
BAMS is a 5½ year program (4½ years of academic study + 1 year compulsory internship) that equips graduates with the knowledge and confidence to practice as Ayurvedic doctors, pursue higher studies, or build careers in research, wellness, and healthcare management.
With Ayurveda gaining global recognition, a BAMS degree opens opportunities not only in India but also in international healthcare and wellness sectors

The college offers the BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) program
2. What is the eligibility criteria for admission in BAMS?
Candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB). They must also qualify the NEET examination and secure admission through counseling (All India or State level).
3. How can I apply for admission?
After qualifying NEET, students must register for All India or State counseling and select the college during the counseling process.
4. Is there an entrance exam required for admission?
Yes, qualifying the NEET examination is mandatory for admission to BAMS.
5. What facilities does the college provide to students?
The college provides a well-furnished AC hostel, a central and departmental library, fully functional laboratories and museums for all subjects, and a 100-bed hospital for clinical training.
6. Does the college have its own hospital for practical training?
Yes, the college has a 100-bed running hospital with OPD and IPD facilities across various departments for practical exposure
7. What is the duration and structure of the BAMS course?
The BAMS course consists of 4.5 years of academic study (divided into three professional phases of 18 months each) followed by 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship
8. Are internships included in the course?
Yes, a one-year compulsory rotatory internship is an integral part of the BAMS course.
9. What documents are required during the admission process?
Students are required to submit the following documents: 10th and 12th mark sheets & certificates; NEET result/scorecard; Aadhar card; Caste/Category certificate (if applicable); and 8 passport-size photographs (as per NEET form).
